Last week we welcomed students from the University of Glasgow who are currently studying the postgraduate degree MSc Sustainable Tourism and Global Challenges. We met at the CatStrand where Loch Ken Trust Manager, Barney Fryer, spoke about the work of the Trust and Loch Ken Ranger Service. Head Ranger Leanne Pumpr then led a walk along the footpath to the river.

With kind permission of the landowner, Leanne led a demonstration on building a camp fire responsibly and the students were able to build their own. Some marshmallows were toasted and afterwards all fires were fully extinguished and dismantled, leaving no trace. We hope you enjoyed your visit to Loch Ken.
