Loch Ken Junior Rangers Summer Programme 2026

Are you aged 11–18 and passionate about nature, wildlife and the outdoors?
Join the Loch Ken Junior Rangers and take part in an exciting programme of practical conservation activities, outdoor skills and environmental learning while working towards the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association (SCRA) Junior Ranger Award.
Over six sessions, Junior Rangers will develop confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.
Sessions will be held at The Crannog in Castle Douglas.
Free block of six sessions in Castle Douglas, aimed at 11-18 year olds- block booking link and dates below.
The sessions will include map work, first aid, wildlife (eels, bird watching, invertebrate sampling and a bat event), and lots more.
Participants can work towards Scottish Countryside Rangers’ Association – SCRA Junior Ranger and Leadership Awards
Sessions can be booked individually as well.
