We are delighted for our Head Ranger Leanne Pumpr who has been awarded the prestigious Margaret Fraser Award for the best article of the year in the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association SCRAmble magazine.

The award is presented each year and was judged by Ann McKillop of the Scottish Countryside Ranger Association. Ann said , “The article that stayed with me during my deliberations highlighted good practice, practical problem solving and a holistic approach to site management. From involving the police, delivering educational messages, speaking to visitors on site and just getting out there and talking about poo!”

The Scottish Countryside Ranger’s Association (SCRA) is the professional membership for Countryside Rangers and associated countryside professionals in Scotland. The award was presented Kate Elliot, Chair of the SCRA, who visited to present Leanne with her certificate and trophy.

Leanne won the award for her article title Rural Crime which featured in the Autumn 2023 edition. You can find the SCRAmble magazine editions on the link below.
