We had a great day at our Loch Ken Family Fun Day, and we would like to thank everyone who came along and each and every one of the organisations that came supported our event.
There were great water safety exhibitions, demonstrations and activities for all.
We were please to see all the Rescue organisations together to promote water safety.
Nith Inshore Rescue and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were in the water carrying out rescue demonstrations. Nithsdale Lifesavers Club were on hand with throw line and first aid activities. Galloway Mountain Rescue attended with their rescue vehicles and demonstrated the rescue equipment they use. Kirkcudbright Canoe Club demonstrated how to rescue a capsized kayak, and the Swim Queens attended to talk about safe wild swimming.
