Kate moved from Cumbria to Crossmichael in 2005. Kate is an active member of Crossmichael Community Council and a member of the Crossmichael Resilience team. Kate has over 25 years of experience of working in the environmental field. Her career has varied from Countryside Ranger and Access Officer around the outskirts of Glasgow to working with farmers and landowners in Cumbria to help conserve and improve sites for wildlife and people. Kate is a keen hill walker, cyclist and kayaker and also enjoys swimming in Loch Ken.
