John was born and brought up in the Dee/Ken valley. His family have farmed on the banks of the Dee for over 100 years. He is now semi-retired.
John is currently leader of ‘Crossmichael Heritage Project’, a popular community venture. He also has a voice in the Community Council and the Local Access Forum.
His other skills & interests include cutting the granite to build his retirement house, family and military history, riding Clydesdales and making rocking horses. He is a member of walking, writing and pilates groups. A family man, his main preoccupation now is being a doting Grandpa.
