I was born and have lived my whole life within sight of Loch Ken, although I always knew it as the Dee until recent years. I am semi- retired but still involved with running the only dairy farm close to the loch.
Having travelled a bit in my youth, I realised what a beautiful area this was and how fortunate I was to live in it. I am keen to preserve the area without adversely changing the natural scenery in the future. Particularly as my family including 4 grandchildren live locally, and regularly swim, canoe and paddleboard on Loch Ken.
I have been very involved in NFU over the years, and would like to keep productive agriculture as a major business and source of local employment in the area.
